Free tools

Where do customers find competitors instead of you?

Two free tools: a live scan of your website that shows the evidence for every result, and a four-question checklist.

The scan reads your public pages; anything it cannot check is marked "not measured". The checklist results come from your answers.

Tool 01 · Live scan

Scan your website

We fetch your homepage, robots.txt and llms.txt and report what we find. Each result shows the evidence. Anything we can't check is marked "not measured".

What the scan means

Seven groups of checks, and why each one matters.

The scan never grades your site. It reports what it found, with the evidence, so you can check it yourself.

  1. 01

    Homepage

We request your homepage and record the response.

If the page does not load for us, it may not load for search engines either. Nothing else can be checked without it.

  2. 02

    Page basics

HTTPS, the page title, the meta description, the mobile viewport tag and text compression.

These decide how your page is shown in search results and whether it reads properly on a phone.

  3. 03

    Structured data

Organization or LocalBusiness markup in the page, plus types often used in your industry.

Structured data tells search engines and AI assistants who you are, where you are and what you sell.

  4. 04

    AI crawler access

The rules in /robots.txt for AI crawlers such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended.

A blocked crawler cannot read your pages, which keeps them out of the tools that use it. Sometimes that is a deliberate choice.

  5. 05

    llms.txt

Whether /llms.txt exists. It is optional.

A short plain-text summary some AI tools read. Useful, not required.

  6. 06

    Tracking tags

Analytics and ad tags present in the initial HTML of your homepage.

Shows what the page loads. Tags added later by a tag manager, and server-side tracking, cannot be seen from outside, so this is information only, never a fail.

  7. 07

    Mobile speed

Mobile Largest Contentful Paint from Google PageSpeed Insights, when it is available.

How long the main content takes to appear on a phone. Google treats 2.5 seconds or less as good. If no test runs, it is marked not measured.

Tool 02 · Checklist

Four questions about how customers find you.

Google Maps, AI assistants, your site on a phone and what happens after hours. The score comes from your answers only; it is not a measurement of your website or rankings.
